Procedure
DEFINITION OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Professional development is defined at Navarro College as a continuous process of learning which both enhances the professional knowledge base as well as develops and maintains professional skills.
FACULTY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS
Full-time faculty at Navarro College are required to complete 8 hours of professional development each academic year. Professional development for faculty should be focused on topics leading to student success. Faculty are not expected to engage in research or publication as part of their employment at Navarro College.
STAFF AND ADMINISTRATOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Staff and administrators shall seek out opportunities to maintain and enhance their knowledge and skills in their areas of responsibility.
